孤寂的村莊靠近淺水邊，與江城相距不遠，
向西曲折延伸的坡地，一道山嶺橫亙前方。
村落炊煙裊裊升起，蘊含著暮色蒼茫，
園林中風聲勁疾，奏響了秋天的聲響。
年成豐收，租稅沒有拖欠負擔，
家釀的酒熟了，鄉鄰們互相遞送迎候。
年老多病，愈加深知難以報效國家，
只能高枕而臥，度過餘下的光陰。

A lone village near shallow waters, close to the riverside town,
To the west, a winding slope, a single ridge lies across.
Smoke rises from the hamlet, veiled in twilight hues,
Through the garden woods, a strong wind brings autumn's sound.
With a bountiful year, taxes bear no arrears,
When wine is ripe, neighbors take turns in sending and greeting.
Old and ill, I know better the difficulty of repaying the state,
I can only lay my head high on the pillow, sending off my remaining years.
