我正倚著欄杆，承受著夕陽的餘暉，
霏霏細雨，飄灑過荒野的池塘。
本意是爲柳枝留住它淺淡的綠色，
卻讓梅花的花蕊洗淨了幽遠的清香。
微微沾溼了蝴蝶的粉翅，起初又何須吝惜？
暫時讓鶯啼聲變得澀滯，也並無妨礙。
造物主並無私心，豈會遍及萬物施予恩澤？
我能憑誰，閒來向春神東皇太一問個究竟？

Leaning on the rail, I just receive the slanting sun's glow,
Across the wild pond, a fine drizzle drifts to and fro.
It meant to keep the willow twigs their tender hue,
Yet made the plum blossoms' hidden fragrance wash through.

Briefly muffling orioles' songs—it's also fair.
The Creator, mindless, favors not any thing;
