連續九日春陰，只有一日放晴，
我勉強支撐著衰病的身體，在此悠閒地散步。
帶著露水的海棠花鮮紅溼潤，
堤岸平齊的湖水呈現出鴨綠色，清澈明亮。
在柳蔭下，遇到因酒價低廉而醉臥的人，
看著肥沃的土地上，稻壟間正進行著深耕。
山野老翁啊，莫要總說自己全然無用，
你還能爲清明的時代解說太平的景象。

Nine days of spring shade, one day of clear sky,
I force my sickly frame to stroll, though weak am I.
The crabapple, crimson-dyed with dew, lies wet and deep,
The lake's green water, level with the dyke, lies bright and steep.
By willows' shade, cheap wine invites a drunken rest,
On fertile soil, deep-ploughed rice fields are seen at their best.
Old mountain man, don't say you're useless through and through,
You still can tell of peace and order to the times that are new.
