有志之士面對秋日已暗自感傷，
更何況我這老人更加珍惜流逝的時光。
正看著溪邊水碓舂著粳米，細膩順滑，
又見山坡上人們忙著播種麥子。
梧桐葉落，井欄邊堆滿枯乾的葉子，
菊花雖殘，衣袖上還殘留著它的清香。
讀書的功課確實應當勤勉完成，
還要多儲存燈油，陪伴這漫漫長夜。

How much more does the old man mourn the fleeting years!
I watch the streamside mill pound rice, its labor never ends,
And see the slopes where wheat is sown, dispelling cares.

Chrysanthemums fade, yet their scent clings to my sleeve.
My reading task urges me to strive, however dim,
