清晨枕上初醒，我這白髮老翁，
穿著補綴的皮袍，守著通紅的火爐。
獨居時，漫然受著書籍的魅惑；
文思滯澀，難以誇耀筆陣的雄風。
舊日學問是箋注《爾雅》裡的蟲魚，
晚年才知曉農事，研讀《豳風》。
我獨自慶幸一身已無他事牽掛，
姑且在這風雪中度過殘餘的年光。

Living alone, I'm charmed by books like a fox's spell;
Stagnant thoughts can't boast of a mighty brush array.

Late in life, I study farming in the "Bin Feng" odes.
I rejoice that my person has no other tasks,
And will pass my remaining years amid wind and snow.
