烏雲如同龍爪般翻騰，
白雨好似博棋的棋子般密集灑落。
老舊的房屋處處都在漏雨，
這個夜晚我將去往何處？
豈止是移動牀鋪來躲避，
簡直想要把鍋懸掛起來炊煮。
簡陋屋舍中的人們紛擾不安，
準備飯食都無法按時進行。
兒女們真是可憐啊，
赤著腳在午間因飢餓而啼哭。
我告訴孩子們姑且稍微忍耐一下，
雲開天晴的日子終會到來。

White rain like scattered chess pieces fall.
The old roof leaks from everywhere,
Where can I go this night at all?
Not just moving the bed to hide,
I fear the pot for cooking must hang high.
People in the hut are restless inside,

My children are a pitiful sight,
Barefoot, crying from noon hunger's plight.
I tell them, 'Bear it for a while, my dear,
The clearing sky will surely reappear.'
