飽食終日卻無功績，面對史書深感慚愧，
在燈前看著自己的身影，嘆息孤苦伶仃。
馬已衰老卻還養著，彷彿它仍認得道路；
龜甲占卜已久早該丟棄，因為它已不靈驗。
徒然誇耀腰間那長長的印綬；
鏡中何止是頭髮斑白（意指衰老之態）。
回首石帆山，起初覺得並不遙遠；
要趕在清秋時節，去挖掘茯苓。

Well-fed yet without merit, I blush before history's scroll;
Before the lamp, I gaze at my shadow and sigh, alone.
My horse grows old but is kept, as if it still knows the way;
The tortoise shell, long kept, should be cast aside for its lost power.
Vainly I boast of the dangling ribbons at my waist;
In the mirror, far more than just a few strands of hair are white.
Looking back, Stone Sail is not so far away;
I must, by clear autumn, dig up the poria cocos.
