郡城依偎在寒冷的江邊，形如一隻臥伏的老虎，
城池廣闊千里，地勢平坦而開闊。
它曾讓秦楚兩國費力地爭奪吞併，
又幾乎誤導了孫權和劉備在此竭力交戰。
我還記得當年綠野之上笙歌游賞的盛景，
怎料如今成了牛馬放牧的荒蕪之城。
夕陽下，我拄著手杖悠閒地登高觀賞，
懷想古事，觀看今朝，心中湧起一片悲傷之情。

The county rests by a cold river, shaped like a crouching tiger,
Its pond stretches a thousand miles, broad and level in its power.
Once it toiled as Qin and Chu fiercely vied to swallow it whole,
And later misled Sun and Liu, locked in a war-torn role.
I still recall songs and flutes roaming the verdant fields of yore,
Who could foresee cattle and horses grazing the ruined city's floor?
At sunset, leaning on my staff, I climb in leisure to gaze,
Reflecting on past and present, my heart in sorrow sways.
