漢武帝的柏梁台高聳，仿佛觸及絳河；
一半籠罩在非霧非煙的郁然嵯峨之中。
他想看桑田在他年發生滄海之變，
瓠子決口卻先成就了今日的悲歌。
夏鼎幾經遷徙，徒留空空的紋飾；
秦始皇的跨海橋未成便已沉沒于波濤。
司馬相如作賦只能徒然諷諫，
卻反而助長了他飄逸超然的氣韻更多。

Emperor Wu's high terrace scrapes the Crimson River's side;
Half veiled in mist-like haze, its peaks soar steep and wide.
He wished to see the mulberry fields change in years to come,
But first, the Huzi Dyke inspired this day's song and drum.
The Xia tripod moved, its images now void and bare;
The Qin bridge, unfinished, sank beneath the waves' despair.
Sima Xiangru's rhapsody could but admonish in vain,
Yet added more to his transcendent, soaring strain.
