月光灑滿小船，長久客居的愁思縈繞心懷，
石頭城下，晚潮正在迴旋湧來。
霸王的基業是從東吳開始奠基，
傑出的人物與風流韻事則自晉代傳續。
大抵險峻幽深終究要輸給道德的力量，
而如今，叢生的草木遮蔽了往日的樓台。
吟詠的筆觸及千百年的歷史往事，
多寫下江南庾信那樣的哀傷情懷。

At Stone City's foot, evening tides turn and bear.
A hegemon's foundation from Wu first took its rise,
And figures of grace since the Jin came before our eyes.
In the main, peril and depth yield to virtue's way;

My chanting brush touches on tales of a thousand years—
To write of the sorrows of Yu Xin, south of the Yangtze, it veers.
