身著繡衣的貴公子們在池塘邊宴飲，
美景融和，萬花芬芳。
珠翠光彩映照天空，春意尚未衰歇；
管弦樂聲臨水奏響，白晝剛剛變長。
風吹柳絲，宛如金色的穗子；
雨洗梨花，花瓣似玉且帶有清香。
酒醉之後仍不願離開華美的席宴，
打算請春神系住那西斜的太陽。

In broidered robes, young lords feast by the pondside clear,
Where gentle scenes melt warm, and myriad flowers bloom.
Pearls and kingfishers shine skyward, spring not yet old;
Flutes and strings by the water, the day just assumes its prime.
Wind wafts the willow threads to golden tassels sheer;
Rain washes pear blossoms, their jade holds fragrance rare.
Drunk, they cannot depart from the splendid mat's cheer,
Wishing the Green God would tether the setting sun there.
