人世間的路途苦於多艱險。
美好的山色也難以挽留客人，
江河湖海也在送別離人。
牛羊在寒日的傍晚歸去，
桑樹和柘樹沐浴著初陽的新生。
早些領悟到世途的險惡如暗箭，
就該歸隱到山中去度過餘生。

The world's path is fraught with hardship and grime.
The mountain views can hardly detain a guest,
The rivers and lakes also see one depart, at best.
Cattle and sheep roam as the cold day grows late,
Mulberry and paper-mulberry trees greet the sun's new state.
Had I earlier understood the perils deep,
I'd have chosen to hide in the mountains, secrets to keep.
