勞碌的人生惋惜流逝的光陰，
逝去的歲月逼近年終的節律。
燦爛的黃色菊花綻放，
繁茂的紫色茱萸果實纍纍。
芬芳的香氣不能長久留存，
但採摘自有其方法。
凋零飄落的態勢足以令人悲傷，
但繁盛時的美好也未曾真正失去。
登高望遠可消散種種憂慮，
驅馬出行，任憑心意所向。
有人說這是爲了避開陽九的厄運，
從而接納大吉大利。
這樣美好的願望誰會反對呢？
姑且應當整日沉醉其中。

A busy life laments the fleeting shade of time,
As the departing year presses on the final season's chime.
Brilliant yellow chrysanthemums glow,
Lush purple dogwood fruits hang low.
Their sweet fragrance cannot be kept for long,
Yet there is an art to gather them, strong.
Their scattered fall is a cause for sorrow,
But their prime's glory is not lost tomorrow.
Ascending heights dispels a hundred cares,
Galloping the horse freely, one dares.
Some say to avoid the ninth yang's plight,
Thus to welcome fortune's auspicious light.
Who would object to such a fine desire?
Let us be drunk all day, by the fire.
