靠近淮河的山川景色秀麗鮮明，
風雨在臨近秋天時變得急促猛烈。
起初我漫遊於空曠的原野，
頓時欣喜於這清涼的雨水匯聚。
蟬鳴聲斷斷續續，時而停歇時而續起，
沙洲上的鳥兒飛起又落下佇立。
我平生就沉溺於這類美好的事物，
天色未晚，這一切都來得及去追尋。

Near the Huai River, the landscape is fair and bright,
The wind and rain grow fierce as autumn draws in sight.
I first set out to roam the open, empty plain,
Then suddenly delight in the cool, gathered rain.
The cicada's song breaks off, then starts anew,
Sandbirds take flight, then pause in view.
All my life I've been drawn to such splendid sights,
Before dusk falls, I can reach all these heights.
