我的居所周圍必定有松樹和竹子，
長年以來，我一直過著閒適的生活。
青苔覆蓋的小徑依然存在，
散亂的石頭更是堆疊成了小山。
飲用山泉之水，卻感到餘味甘甜快樂；
肩扛鋤頭勞作，又有誰會感到羞愧呢？
悠然自得地謝絕了車馬的喧囂，
靜聽來訪的客人到了門前又返回。

My dwelling is embraced by pines and bamboos,
Through the years, I've nurtured my own peace.
A path still winds through the verdant moss,
And scattered stones pile up into a hill.
Drinking from the spring, I find surplus joy;
Who would feel shame, hoe on shoulder, facing the world?
Serenely, I decline the noise of carriage and horse,
And listen for the guest who finds his way back to my gate.
