邑居苦囂塵，灑掃長不給。

yì jū kǔ xiāo chén， sǎ sǎo cháng bù jǐ。

ㄧˋ ㄐㄩㄎㄨˇ ㄒㄧㄠㄔㄣˊ，ㄙㄚˇ ㄙㄠˇ ㄔㄤˊ ㄅㄨˋ ㄐㄧˇ。

蕭條一雨餘，草木遍青濕。

xiāo tiáo yī yǔ yú， cǎo mù biàn qīng shī。

ㄒㄧㄠㄊㄧㄠˊ ㄧㄩˇ ㄩˊ，ㄘㄠˇ ㄇㄨˋ ㄅㄧㄢˋ ㄑㄧㄥㄕ。

靜無浮埃生，清有涼風入。

jìng wú fú āi shēng， qīng yǒu liáng fēng rù。

愧慚天地功，人力那能及。

kuì cán tiān dì gōng， rén lì nà néng jí。

ㄎㄨㄟˋ ㄘㄢˊ ㄊㄧㄢㄉㄧˋ ㄍㄨㄥ，ㄖㄣˊ ㄌㄧˋ ㄋㄚˋ ㄋㄥˊ ㄐㄧˊ。

居住在城邑中，苦於喧囂與塵土，灑水清掃常常力不能及。

一場冷清的雨過後，草木都變得一片溼潤青翠。

寧靜中不再有浮塵揚起，清朗間有涼風吹入。

對比天地化育萬物的功績，我感到慚愧，人的力量怎能企及呢？

In town, I suffer from the dust and din, / And sweeping it away is a constant, losing fight.

After a lonely, cleansing rain has passed, / All plants and trees are moistened, green and bright.

No floating dust arises in the calm; / A cool, clear breeze comes in, refreshing and light.

I feel ashamed before Heaven and Earth's work; / How can the power of man ever reach such a height?

塵囂治理的困境，映照出對清淨秩序的認同。

詩人感嘆城居喧囂多塵，灑掃不及，表達對清淨生活的嚮往。

本詩為五言古詩，押平聲韻。

劉攽（1023—1089），字貢父，北宋臨江軍新喻（今江西新余）人。他是北宋著名的史學家、學者與官員，與其兄劉敞並稱「二劉」，在經學、史學領域均有建樹。其文學成就雖為史學所掩，但詩文創作亦頗具特色，尤以詠史、擬古之作見長，風格質樸勁健，在北宋文壇佔有一席之地。
