一隻空舟在波浪中上下浮沉，
長久以來，我欣喜於身心獲得的自由。
了解我的人必須高擡眼界才能明白，
遇到他人時，我多半懶得擡頭去看。
以詩寄興，原本並非真的興致盎然，
借酒消愁，卻不知愁緒究竟何在。
學習聖賢之道與玄妙之理總是如此，
莫要懷疑我這老翁在獨自修行。

A solitary boat drifts up and down, free and light,
Long have I rejoiced, body and mind, in freedom's delight.
Those who know me must lift their gaze to see my true state,
Meeting others, I'm often too lazy to raise my head straight.
Poetry, meant to express joy, brings no joy in the end,
Wine, said to dispel sorrow, holds sorrow without end.
Learning from sages and mysteries always turns out this way,
Do not doubt this old man's practice of solitary sway.
