您有幸遇到了堯舜那樣的聖明君主。
我怎敢忘記自己孤忠的志向呢？
雖然我的身體居住在田野鄉間，
但我的心志依然在朝廷殿堂。
在草野之地棲身已經很久了，
但夢迴鈞天（指朝廷）的路卻那麼漫長。
煙霞美景雖然能讓我自得其樂，
但我更願依傍日月的光輝（喻指君王）。
應當像上古的甫（或指輔佐之臣）那樣曬背取暖（喻指效忠），
不要學習嚴光披著裘衣隱居不仕。
此生功名尚未建立，
願向金馬門進獻封好的奏章（以求進用）。

You are blessed to meet a sage king, Yao and Shun.
How dare I forget my lonely loyalty, though undone?
Though my body dwells in the fields, rustic and low,
My heart still yearns for the court where high duties flow.
Long have I lingered in the wilds, a hermit's stay,
Yet dreams of the heavenly court are far away.
Though mist and rosy clouds bring me a private cheer,
I wish to bask in the sun and moon's light, ever near.
Warm my back in the sun, as Fu Xi did of old,
But do not learn from Guang, who hid his robe in the cold.
In this life, my name remains unestablished, unknown,
I'd present my sealed bag at the Golden Horse Gate, alone.
