清晨僕人傳來異常的消息，
白色的寒霜遍布碧瓦與銀牀。
正爲炎夏多淫雨而憂愁，
哪堪在陽秋時節又記載著隕霜。
我爲了天地太和而思慮保全調和，
誰知卻像《小雅》那樣賦寫憂傷。
朝廷中定會有請求更新的奏疏，
我這鄉野老人空自增添了雪白的長鬢。

At dawn, the servant brought news most strange and dire,
White frost on green tiles spread across the silver bed.
Just grieving for the summer's rains and damp and mire,
How much more now, in autumn's record, frost lies dead.
For cosmic harmony I think of keeping peace,
Who knew the Minor Odes would sing of sorrow's lease?
The court will surely have memorials of rebirth,
This rustic elder's snowy temples grow in dearth.
