我像子真一樣，初次來到這岩石上靜坐。
因為驚訝於野鳥在巢中哺育幼雛，
也懶得去拜訪隔壁住在竹林裡的僧侶。
新湧出的溪流迸發涼意，侵入了我們安靜的談話；
傍晚溼潤的雲氣飄浮，漫上了攤開的殘舊書卷。
何必費力去拿那白色的團扇強求涼風？
一柄青松自有其清涼，綽綽有餘。

The orchid-curtained hut lies quiet, shielding my humble abode;
Here, like Master Zhen, I first came to sit upon the rocky road.
Startled by wild birds nursing their young within the nest's embrace,
Too idle to visit the monk next door amid his bamboo space.
Fresh rivulets, cool and bursting, invade our tranquil conversation;
Evening clouds, moist and floating, climb over books of old notation.
Why trouble to seize a round white fan, forcing a breeze so faint?
A single branch of green pine itself provides a cool restraint.
