茂密的林間霧靄如翠綠的帷幕環繞，
幽深的門館在昏暗中隱隱生輝。
飄動的雲影變換，月亮率先到來，
流淌的溪水飄送花香，黃鶯獨自歸巢。
碧玉般的竹子已從雲夢澤抽出枝幹，
荷花仍如漢宮舞衣般搖曳生姿。
北窗吹過一陣風，琴弦自動鳴響，
譜成的曲調卻無處尋問知音之人。

Drifting clouds shift their shadows, the moon arrives first,

Lotus flowers still dance in robes of Han palace grace.
Wind sweeps past the north window, the zither stirs itself,
Yet formed in writing, nowhere to find a knowing ear.
