聚合與消散，本就如同水上的泡沫一樣虛幻。
痴迷的人卻貪戀執著，不知道停止。
活著的時候，偏要在道路上栽種荊棘。
死了以後，還要替一群幼雛做牛做馬。
為了登上隴山，用盡計謀規劃蜀道；
如同修築長城，功業半途而廢在沙丘。
自古以來，那些有大作為的人尚且如此，
只應該將心轉向內在去尋求。

Gathering and scattering are like bubbles on water, the same in their nature.
The deluded cling to them, unaware of when to cease.
In life, they plant thorns right on the path they tread.
In death, they serve as horses and oxen for the young brood.
To ascend the heights, they scheme fully for the treacherous road to Shu;
Like the Great Wall, their merit halved, abandoned in the sandy mound.
Since ancient times, even great masters have been thus,
One should only turn the mind inward to seek.
