從樟亭上眺望錢塘江潮，
震動大地，凌越天空，氣象何等雄豪。
彷彿十萬大軍的吶喊聲從海角傳來，
又像三千銀白世界與煙雲霄漢混成一片。
素車白馬般的浪濤縱橫奔馳，
如白鷺飛鷗般的水花四散飄搖。
最妙的是在風平浪靜之後，
一葉船帆便能日行千里，不待一個完整的清早。

From the Camphor Pavilion I gaze upon the Qiantang tide,
Shaking the earth, soaring through air, its grandeur swells with pride.
Like the roar of a hundred thousand troops from the ocean's edge it comes,
A world of three thousand silver realms lost in misty, smoky plumes.
White chariots and steeds in wild disarray dash and race,
Like soaring egrets and gulls in scattered, drifting grace.
How fine it is when waves are calm and winds have ceased to blow,
A single sail can travel a thousand miles before the morning's glow.
