溪水退落，石頭露出，溪流難以行船；
我捨棄舟船，整理行裝，趕赴前路。
僕從喧譁吵鬧，烏鴉麻雀也嘰喳鳴叫；
我衣冠莊重奇偉，引得孩童驚訝觀看。
天氣寒冷，原野空曠，我畏懼霜露侵襲；
日色已晚，路途遙遠，感傷自身如浮萍飄零。
我這一生爲何要如此徒然自尋苦惱？
且將這濁酒對著燈火傾杯一飲吧。

The water recedes, rocks emerge, the stream is hard to navigate;
I leave the boat, pack my gear, and hasten on the road.
My attendants clamor, crows and sparrows caw in the din;
My stately robes and cap startle the village children.
The sky is cold, the wilds vast, I dread the frost and dew;
The sun sets, the road is long, I grieve like drifting duckweed.
Why in this life do I torment myself so needlessly?
Let me just pour this murky wine before the lamp and drink.
