西南的衆水匯合，長江由此奔湧而出，
萬里波濤奔騰激盪，沖開了瞿塘峽的門戶。
神宮與龍府所在之處雲霧昏暗，
漩渦迴轉，峽谷盤曲，仿佛天地都在旋轉。
長江發源於岷山，是四瀆中最長的一脈，
廬山的白浪好似九道支流奔來。
鑿木成舟渡人過河，是萬世依賴的便利，
但積聚財富卻導致覆舟之禍，唉，真是可悲可嘆。

From the southwest, waters converge and the Great River emerges,
Rushing ten thousand miles, churning through Qutang Gorge's gates.
The divine palace, the dragon's abode, is veiled in mist and gloom,
Whirlpools twist, gorges coil, heaven and earth seem to turn.
From Min Mountain's source, the four great rivers stretch long,
From Lu Peak's white waves, nine streams come forth.
Hollowed boats ferry crossings, a reliance for all ages,
Yet gold piled high capsizes vessels—alas, a lamentable sight.
