以正直的態度擔任官職，招致了悔恨與責難，
在清平時代，無處申訴的人獨自承受著恥辱。
獄中的寶劍之氣依然盤旋鬱結，
烈火中的琴材尚未被發現與收用。
自古以來的聖賢都遵循正直之道，
遭遇時勢的誣衊與毀謗，也會被幽禁囚困。
我願秉持仁義作為渡河的竹篙與船槳，
以敏捷的身手，在中流挽救那傾覆的舟船。

Upright in office, one invites regret and blame,
In peaceful times, the voiceless alone bear shame.
In prison, sword-qi still coils, unyielding and deep,
In fire, lute-wood remains, uncut, in a heap.
Since ancient times, sages walked the path of the straight,
Yet, meeting slander, they too share a captive's fate.
I wish to hold benevolence as oar and pole,
And with swift hands, in midstream, save the sinking soul.
