蘇東坡曾寫過一篇《老饕賦》;
我姜子如今年老,貪吃的勁頭更足。
血氣已經衰弱,肌肉也變得消瘦,
正像枯乾的樹木渴望春天的膏澤。
周伯仁若是見到我,會為我尋求烤牛肉;
畢卓如果遇到我,會為我尋覓蟹螯。
醃魚、美酒和各種海味,
晚秋的菘菜、春天的韭菜夾雜著溪邊的野菜。
搜尋奇特的味道需要讓兒孫輩去做;
精細的烹調則要交給主廚。
君子固然懂得居住偏遠可以減少殺生,
但老人怎麼可以吃飯沒有佳餚?
鄰家的老翁時常高興地分享甘甜酥脆的食物;
侍奉的歌妓偏偏擅長佐酒助興。
萬般世事都已讓我心灰意冷,唯有此事例外,
讓我在窗下悠閒自得,盡情歡樂。
Su Dongpo once composed a 'Rhapsody on the Old Gourmand';
Now I, Jiang Zi, in my later years, am even more fond.
My vital force declines, my muscles thin and dry,
Just like a withered tree thirsting for spring's sap from the sky.
Were Bo Ren to see me, he'd seek roast beef for my delight;
Were Bi Zhuo to meet me, he'd find crab claws, a savory bite.
Salted fish, fine wine, and all the treasures of the sea,
With late cabbage, spring leeks, and herbs from the brook, for me.
Searching for rare flavors must be left to the younger crew;
The skilled preparation is the master chef's to do.
A gentleman knows living far reduces slaughter's need,
But how can an old man endure a meal without fine feed?
My neighbor, old man, oft delights in sharing sweet and crisp;
My singing girls are skilled at aiding wine, a welcome risk.
All worldly things my heart to ashes turn, save this one plea:
To linger by my window, content and blissfully free.
飲食之樂體現對生命週期的豁達認同與享受。
以老饕自比,戲謔表達年老而貪食的生活情趣。
