古代有悲嘆秋天的詩篇，
其中遠行是第三句的主題。
人之常情總是看重離別家園，
旅人的心意已厭倦漫長的路途。
征戰的馬匹登上前方的山岡，
棲息的烏鴉聚集在高大的樹木上。
慘澹的層層陰雲開始生成，
呼嘯的強勁狂風正在發怒。
匣中的琴只是徒然隨身攜帶，
杯中的酒又能與誰共飲相遇？
衣帶比從前更加寬鬆了，
衣服上的香氣也不再是舊時的氣息。

Ancient verses lament the autumn's plight,
The third line speaks of a journey's length.
The heart is heavy at leaving home's light,
The traveler wearies of the road's strength.
My steed ascends the ridge ahead,
Crows perch upon the tall trees' crest.
Gloomy layers of clouds are spread,
Howling fierce winds put strength to test.
In vain I carry my lute's case,
With whom shall I share this cup of wine?
My belt hangs looser than before in place,
The scent upon my robe is no longer mine.
