朝會罷後，在宮中的通道里一覺安眠，
沿著右銀台路，進入西邊的宮垣。
白日漫長，漸漸覺得封泥已熟，
微風柔軟，屢屢驚動藥樹翻葉。
朱紅的欄杆帶著蔭涼，難以倚靠，
紫薇花正當白晝，繁盛得令人難以承受。
何必再寄寓陶淵明窗下的傲逸之情？
在此軒中，自有充足的涼意。

Through the Right Silver Terrace Road, entering the western wall.
The long day makes the seal mud feel familiar,
The soft breeze startles the medicine trees, turning their leaves.

The purple mikado, at noon, cannot bear its lushness.
Why need I send word of Tao's windowed pride?
Here in this pavilion, coolness abounds of its own.
