暮色中，古舊的城垛與高高的亭台，
我登臨此處，極目遠眺。
菊花的房瓣棲宿著濃重的露水，
荷葉偃臥在清澈的漣漪之上。
沿著沙洲，歸來的鴻雁聚集，
投入深林的猿猴發出悲鳴。
心有所感，姑且將景色描繪成詩句，
我獨自久久佇立，徘徊不前。

On ancient battlements, a high pavilion in the dusk,
I climb and gaze afar when day is done.
Chrysanthemum heads nestle in the heavy dew;
Lotus leaves repose on limpid waves, each one.
Wild geese gather, returning along the sandy shore;
In the deep woods, howling monkeys grieve and moan.
Moved by the scene, I try to sketch it into verse;
Alone I stand, lost in thought, for long, alone.
