聽說新建的樓閣超越了舊樓的名聲，
全城的人都來縱情觀看，彷彿整個城市都要傾倒了。
層疊的屋脊高聳，突出于晴空之外；
美好的景色還與歡樂的事情結合在一起。
潭底的魚龍被水中倒影驚動；
梁間的燕雀在堂前楹柱間歡叫慶賀。
將來某個秋夜，正可乘興而來，
在小床上閒坐，等待月亮升起。

The whole city crowds to gaze, as if the town might topple.
Its layered eaves soar high beyond the clear sky's reach;
Fine views here join with joyful happenings as one.
Fish and dragons in the deep pool startle at their inverted image;
Swallows and sparrows among the beams celebrate the front pillars.
In some future autumn night, fit for a sudden whim,
I'll sit awhile on a square couch, awaiting the moon's rise.
