離別南北已有多少年了？
稀疏的短髮已夾雜著白髮，垂下來有一尺多長。
我擔任執戟郎這樣的官職，仕途落拓失意；
像楚丘先生一樣，觸景生情，心中充滿悲涼。
一雙野鴨與飛雁怎能相提並論？
但我還能搏擊虎熊，身體依然強健。
只恨調養病體妨礙我暢飲美酒；
在這酒杯之前，一切都歸於我個人的狂放不羈。

My sparse hair, now streaked with white, hangs past my shoulders.
As a lowly guard, my official career has been bleak and thwarted;
Like the scholar of Chu, my heart is touched by melancholy.
Who would compare the pair of wild ducks to the migrating geese?
Yet I can still wrestle tigers and grapple bears—I remain strong.
I only regret that nursing my illness forbids me from drinking;
Before this wine cup, all belongs to my own wild folly.
