每日倚著欄杆俯瞰清澈的急流，
年年為洗竹而砍去那些醜惡的竹竿。
十頃如玻璃般的水面在秋色中一片寧靜，
整片竹林如簫管在拂曉時分發出寒冽的聲響。
涼風有意從天邊吹起，
無邊的明月照耀著水際。
誰說環境過於清幽就難以久居？
愚溪原本就自己不能安寧。

The boundless moonlight shines upon the water's end.
Who says it's too pure to dwell here for long?
The Fool's Stream itself was never at peace.
