紅色的旌旗再次來到鎮守故鄉，
官吏與百姓歡喜地拂拭著牙牀。
忽然頒布下優厚如天降的詔書，
仍允許我這衰殘之人守護郡守的印章。
自笑如同木雞一樣仍獨自站立，
人們感嘆竹馬徒然相互伴隨。
君王顧念舊情，恩典並不淺薄，
南北的符節各執一方。

Officials and people rejoice, brushing off the ivory bed.
Suddenly bestowed, a gracious edict descends from heaven,
Still permitting this frail one to keep the prefect's seal.
I laugh at myself, a wooden rooster still standing alone,
People sigh, bamboo horses in vain accompany each other.
The sovereign remembers old ties, his grace is not shallow,
North and south, the jade tallies each hold one side.
