我私下將自己比作在淮陽臥病的汲黯，
慶幸自己不像莊舄那樣吟唱思鄉的楚歌。
公務之餘並無特別的事務，
在世俗之外尋得了志趣相投的友人。
興致來時便傾杯暢飲浮蟻酒，
閒暇時便逗弄禽鳥以為戲樂。
世間之事與超脫塵世之境，
對我來說，都沉入一片深沉的靜默之中。

I compare myself to the recluse of Huaiyang, lying low,
Fortunate not to sing the homesick song of Zhuang Xi.
Beyond governance, there are no extraordinary affairs;
Outside the material world, I find a like-minded heart.
When inspiration strikes, I pour the floating-foam ale;
In leisure, I play with birds, a delightful game.
The mundane world and the world beyond,
To me, both sink into profound silence.
