我孤身一人，追隨流放者漂泊萬里，
在炎熱的南方已兩度見到茉莉花開。
我家族的功勳常蒙朝廷念舊記掛，
聖上的恩澤正為士人開闢新的境遇。
忘卻憂愁，自有禪心帶來寧靜，
抵禦瘴氣，沒有什麼比醇厚的道氣更先、更重要。
像傅說那樣化雨滋潤原野並非我的職責，
我只願聽到雷雨大作，讓困頓的魚兒得以騰躍。

A lone soul, drifting a thousand miles with the stream,
Twice have I seen the jasmine spring in lands of southern beam.
My meritorious clan is oft remembered by the court's old grace,
The sage's favor now renews the scholars' rightful place.
To forget sorrow, the Zen mind finds its own peace,
To ward off miasma, nothing precedes the Dao's pure release.
To rain upon the wild like Fu Yue is not my part,
I long to hear the thunderous rain that makes the stranded carp leap and start.
