連年的農田都錯過了夏秋的收成，
正值春天，飢餓的流民尤其困窘，無可奈何。
人們沒有一粒糧食，如何能承受這樣的命運？
上天製造陰寒的天氣，也彷彿在發愁。
忙著煮樹葉充飢，無暇去製作木酪，
在桑樹下遮蔽，整日期待著囊中的乾糧。
何時才能有豐沛的雨水滿足百姓的期望？
且待來年，看那十倍的豐收景象。

Year after year, the fields lost summer and autumn's yield,
In early spring, the plight of starving refugees is revealed.
How can men bear their fate when not a grain of food they hold?
Even the sky, overcast and cold, seems sorrowful and old.
Boiling leaves for broth, no time to make the wooden cheese,
Sheltering by mulberries, they wait for bags of food with unease.
When will the timely rain fulfill the people's hope and need?
We wait to see next year's harvest, a tenfold increase in seed.
