驕陽肆虐，極度炎熱煩悶，
萬物如同被焚燒，渴望甘霖滋潤。
整個世間都逃不脫這酷吏般的炎熱，
何時才能迎來涼爽的疾風？
我們精誠祈禱，打算責求泥龍顯靈降雨，
大舉搜尋，誰來誅殺那製造旱災的妖魔？
我抬頭望向泰山，期盼雲氣哪怕只有膚寸般聚起，
讓四方的土地得到膏澤，盡是茁壯的禾苗。

The blazing sun runs rampant, scorching and severe;
All things are scorched, longing for a cooling rain to appear.
The whole world cannot escape this cruel official's might;
When shall we feel the swift, refreshing breeze's delight?
With earnest prayers, we urge the clay dragon to bring rain;
In a great search, who will slay the drought demon's bane?
I crane my neck toward Mount Tai, where clouds begin to rise;
May timely showers bless all lands, nurturing crops under the skies.
