本意是與民同樂，共享歡愉時光。
百姓安樂，日日可見嬉遊繁盛的景象，
歲月久遠，誰還記得當初修建治理的功勞？
厭倦春色，几案席榻承受著台榭間的冷雨，
在這軒廊里，忘卻暑熱，是菱荷送來的清風。
三次前來，本想順應衆人心意尋得適意，
只得在酒樽前勉強裝作醉翁。

Its founding wish: shared joy with the people, not apart.
Peaceful days saw throngs at play, a thriving, lively scene,
But years passed, who recalls the labor, toil unseen?
Sick of spring, on mat and seat, rain drips from tower and hall,
In this lodge, forgetting summer's heat, lotus breeze enthralls.
Thrice I've come, hoping to join the crowd's contented ease,
Yet forced before the cup, I play the drunken lord to please.
