秋風淅淅瀝瀝地搖動著密密的竹林，
忽然感到涼意滋生，洗去了炎夏的悶熱。
豆田裡雨已下過，麥苗長得肥壯，
長滿蘋草的小洲上，風兒輕拂，水波微皺。
農家在社日這天品嘗新釀的酒，
互相拜訪，吃一頓飯，百般憂愁都放下。
反而笑我這儒生真是自討苦吃，
頭髮如同衰敗的秋草，承受不住秋日的凋零。

Autumn wind soughs softly through the dense bamboo,
Suddenly I feel coolness born, washing summer's mugginess away.
Over bean fields, rain has passed, wheat sprouts grow plump,
On duckweed isles, the breeze is light, wave ripples gently crease.
Farmers, on the village god's day, try the newly brewed ale,
Visiting each other for a meal, a hundred worries melt.
Yet they laugh at the scholar's true self-torment,
Hair like withered grass, unable to bear the autumn's weight.
