離亂之世固然多事；
賢明哲人自有其要領。
一切皆以仁義爲本；
所施教令如日月般光明。
邦國百姓因此不犯禁令；
閉門閣中，我自省察，無需外求。
尚且能效仿蓋公的風範；
使我沉醉於清淨之境。
春風吹拂，鮮花開滿門前；
午夢沉沉，日影悄然轉移。
早已告誡過鈴下的吏役；
官吏若至，切勿擅自請示求見。

In chaotic times, troubles abound;
But wise men grasp the essential way.
All is rooted in benevolence, profound;
Their teachings shine bright as night and day.
The people thus need no enforcement;
Behind closed doors, I reflect, self-contained.
Still able to emulate Lord Gai, hence
I find myself drunk in clarity, unstrained.
Spring wind fills the door with flowers in bloom;
Noonday dreams shift with the sun's turning light.
Having warned the guards below my room,
When clerks arrive, they're not to seek my sight.
