南街是豪壯的郡城所在，
東邊的園圃緊鄰著州官的宅邸。
誰說這如沸鼎般喧鬧的地方，
氣象就不開闊通敞呢？
林木園圃中盛產瓜果和竹筍，
廳堂幽深，杉樹柏樹優美挺立。
山野釀造的酒極其令人滿意，
溪邊的少女能讓客人酣醉。
吳先生是城中有才德的人，
筆鋒所向，萬人難敵。
我們傳遞酒杯互相慰勞，
不知不覺間東方已經發白。

The eastern garden presses on the prefect's hall.
Who says this boiling cauldron of a place,
Lacks an expansive, unconfined air at all?
The groves and gardens teem with melons and bamboo shoots,
The hall, dense and fine, is graced with fir and cypress fair.
The mountain brew is utterly delightful to men,
And streamside girls can make a guest drunk with their care.
Master Wu, a talent rare within this town,
With his brush tip rivals ten thousand, of great renown.
Passing cups, we toil to comfort one another,
Unaware the eastern sky has turned to white, the night over.
