這並非金粉塗飾的十六尺高大佛像，
在這莊嚴的法界中，令人想起西方極樂世界。
本是僧人爲了清淨而鑿刻出的空幻形象，
誰又說起秦始皇那系纜海船的傳說呢？
佛像完整的軀體不知何時才能顯現，
我半生暫且坐在這山中參禪。
石頭的倒影映照水中，不染塵埃，
飽聽鐘聲與絲竹管弦之音交織在一起。

Not a golden-coated colossus of sixteen feet,
In solemn Dharma-realm, one thinks of Western Paradise.
Monks themselves carved the void image for purity's sake—
Who speaks of Qin Emperor's cable to moor the sea?
The whole body—unknown when it will manifest;
Half a life spent sitting in meditation on this mountain.
Stone head mirrored in water, free of worldly dust,
Sated with hearing bell tones mingled with pipes and strings.
