竹根上留著舊日的沙痕，
茅草叢中燒過的地方呈現出新的顏色。
身著青裙的女子用瓶在澗邊汲水，
頭戴白帽的人持斧去尋找柴薪。
渺茫的蠻地煙靄升起，
秋風中有一位孤獨的旅人。

Vast and faint, the southern mists arise,
A lone traveler in autumn wind sighs.
