In deep mountains, no news to hear or see.
At the second watch, I still study the Way,
By the third watch, I idly strive with prose.
The leaves of rue turn in the spring daylight,
Pear blossoms dream of clouds at dawn.
I add incense and still brew tea,
With solemn reverence, I serve the Lord of Heaven.
