這座山像巨鰲一樣巋然不動，
這口井裡的螃蟹又當如何呢？
小小的土丘不過拳頭大的石頭，
在晴朗的田野上望盡水波盪漾。
俯身方知雲霧遮蔽了下方景象，
雲霧卻又能放太陽的車輪經過。
每登高一次就回頭望一眼，
每上一層，眼界就開闊許多。

This mountain stands firm as a giant turtle,
What of the crab within this well, I wonder?
A small mound is but a fist-sized rock,
From sunlit fields I watch the ripples yonder.
Looking down, I know clouds veil the world below,
Yet they part to let the sun's wheel pass through.
With each ascent, I turn my head once more,
And with each tier, my vision broadens anew.
