山中的隱士年老體衰，已不懂耕種之事；
他打開窗戶，端坐著觀望天氣的陰晴變化。
前方的江水和後面的山嶺雲霧繚繞，連成一片；
萬千溝壑與叢林傳送著雨落的聲音。
如海傾般的雨壓得竹枝低垂又復抬起；
風吹過山角，使天色昏暗後又轉明亮。
我不嫌棄屋漏無處可幹；
正需要這群龍（指雨）來洗淨鎧甲與兵器。

The mountain dweller, aged and frail, knows not the plough;
He opens the window, sits upright, and watches the sky's changing hue.
Clouds surge from the river ahead to the ridges behind;
A thousand gullies and woods send forth the sound of rain.

The wind blows dark over the mountain's edge, then brightens it again.
I mind not the leaks that leave no dry spot in my hut—
For I desire these dragons to wash the armor and blades clean.
