年少未冠之時，搖著膝蓋、手托下巴，
已經採集摘取（詩句），勝過雕琢刻鏤。
雖然還寫不出驚天動地的詩句，
姑且吟誦那些吟風弄月的篇章。
不要拋棄邵康節的《擊壤集》；
它像煎膠續弦，能接續《上林賦》般的雅韻。
《東山》《七月》這樣的詩篇無人能透徹理解，
只因周公的學問淵源極其深厚。

I'd gathered gems of verse, surpassing carved designs.
Though lines that shake the earth and startle heaven are not mine,
I still recite the poems that chant the wind and moon.
Do not discard the 'Songs of Earth-Beating' by Kang Jie;
Like glue that mends a lute, they join the music of old groves.
The 'East Hill' and 'July' none can fully understand—
It's but the Duke of Zhou's deep learning, the source profound.
