自少年時便與詩書爲伴，如今兩鬢已斑白如絲。
求取功名時，您從不隨波逐流，落在衆人之後；
您的文章曾作爲典範，教導過好幾位學子。
還未能在朝廷施展您治理天下的才能，
暫且將胸中如美玉般珍貴的文辭釋放出來。
我反覆吟詠您在荔台所作的精妙詩句，
千年以來，這般風雅的傳統，又有誰能追隨得上呢？

Your hair at temples turned to silk, with books and verse your grace.
In seeking office, you never trailed behind the common throng;

I chant again your fine lines from the lychee terrace high—
