天下少有井水如這般清澈，
伯夷、叔齊的德行與之相比又如何？
寒冰似的井水入口，侵涼了牙齒與面頰，
如同甘露滋潤腸胃，驅除了疾病與疲乏。
方圓十里，它灌溉農田，宛如旱天甘雨，
這一泓清泉解人焦渴，勝過天上的銀河。
救濟百姓的平生志向未能實現，
飲此井水，我深感愧疚，心中負罪良多。

How would Bo Yi and Shu Qi compare their virtue to its purity?
The icy water enters the mouth, chilling teeth and cheek,
Like sweet dew soaking the gut, driving ailments away, meek.
For ten li it irrigates fields, bringing rain in drought,
A single pool quenches thirst, surpassing the Milky Way, no doubt.
To save lives, my lifelong wish remains unfulfilled,
Drinking from this, I'm deeply ashamed, my conscience is instilled.
